We at Maine Laser Skin Care want to thank all of our patients and clients for their confidence in our services over the past year. Between vaccine rollouts, the Delta variant, booster shots, and then the Omicron variant, it has been a challenging year medically and socially.
Rest assured that we at Maine Laser Skin Care have taken your safety and that of our staff seriously throughout the course of this now 2-year and counting COVID pandemic. All of our staff has been vaccinated and boosted.
Our informal polling has shown that the vast majority of our office clients and patients have been vaccinated and boosted as well. We have also continued to mask in the office setting, and only allowed client unmasking when absolutely needed to perform a particular procedure.
We have definitely found that during this pandemic, self-care has been extraordinarily important for many people. We are proud to have been helpful to the many who have wanted to feel better about themselves in these stressful times. Clinical studies have also shown that self-care and feeling better about how you look are important factors for stress management and mental health.
Although we are glad that 2021 is over for many obvious reasons, 2021 was our biggest year ever for every category of aesthetic treatments at both our Augusta and Scarborough offices. We remain statewide leaders in Botox and dermal fillers.
We have new treatments scheduled to roll out soon that will help with previously difficult-to-treat cosmetic issues. There will also be upgrades and improvements to our previous standby procedures.
Additionally, we are adding staff at both of our locations to enhance scheduling and reduce backlogs and delays in appointments. We greatly appreciate your patience over the past year as demand frequently outstripped availability of appointment slots.
