I have been to Maine Laser Skin Care in Augusta for several visits now and I am totally sold. The Doctors and support staff are professional and personable. The clinic is spotless and very welcoming. I went initially to have a vein in my nose lazered. (I am in my late 60's and men with a veiny nose is just...well...not attractive) When I discovered how inexpensive it was to have laser treatments and that I paid for time not per application, I was able to expand my treatments even further. You get 30 minutes of treatment for a singular reasonable price. I happen to have many (100's) of benign spots on my body called cherry angiomas. They are red raised blood vessels that surface. It is common and totally not threatening. But when you have 100s of them, it is not very appealing. The difference in just 3 visits is totally amazing. The process is almost painless (slight sting, but tolerable) after a couple of days of redness they just disappear! Whatever you may have thought about lazer treatments...it's a breeze! Check these guys out, they are the real deal!

I have been going to Maine Laser Skincare for a few years. The office is very professional and are informed on the latest techniques to achieving glowing skin. Dr. John is personable and kind. His staff is very efficient and helpful. I feel like I have received the best treatment for a reasonable price.

I've been coming here for about a year for hair removal and so far the results have been wonderful. I had a lot of hair to remove, and I'm regularly stunned at the progress I've made. The staff at Maine Laser Skin Care is friendly, thoughtful, and, most importantly, non-judgemental. I work with Dr Allen now and she's a fantastic and confident specialist. Thank you!

Update 2/29/2024: Maine Laser Skin Care has upgraded their Laser system and it's faster, less painful, and more effective! Looking forward to continuing my hair removal journey with Dr Allen and the whole wonderful team at MLSC. <3

Scheduling the consult was super easy! Staff was extremely friendly and worked with my schedule to get me in at a time convenient for me.

Meeting with Christine was amazing, I told her what areas I wanted to address and what my overall skincare goals were. She then recommended and explained what treatment(s) would be best, how many sessions (roughly) I would need, and the cost. They also offer deals on packages when you purchase certain multiple treatments. (Keep in mind that as much as we would all love a one and done it usually takes a few treatments to reach your desired goals)
She wrote it all down on a card for me to refer to as well.

Shortly after the consult I received my first treatment in a series of treatments to combat the rosacea I suffer from.

Upon arriving for my appointment I checked in with the front desk secretary and checked in by scanning their QR code for their rewards app, (YES they offer a rewards program, who doesn't live saving money?!)

The treatment began with a numbing cream applied to the areas the laser would be used on to help with discomfort. I would give the overall pain/discomfort of the laser maybe a 1 out of 10. I was unsure of what to expect but honestly, to me, it was wasn't painful at all. The treatment for me took less than a half hour from start to finish.

After she was finished she went over the aftercare instructions with me and answered any questions I had regarding that.

Checking out was super quick and easy and at that time I requested to schedule my next session.

I will say one thing that really stood out to me as now a days some places can try and upsell you on things you really dont need just to make extra money. That was absolutely not the case at this business. Even when Christine and I discussed proper skincare for maintenance after she even said they have products there that she really would love to see me use because they really work but since I just bought products to finish them and after if I wanted to I could purchase the products they had there to give them a try for myself.

Overall, if I could give this place more than 5 starts I would and I cannot wait to continue my skincare journey here!

After several visits with Schari for hair removal treatments on my chin, neck, and upper lip, I am extremely pleased with the results. Schari did an outstanding job, demonstrating patience and ensuring that I never felt rushed during my appointments. I love this office and highly recommend them! When I first started a year ago, I was very nervous and intimidated. Christine immediately put me at ease and spent the time to hear my concerns. All the staff were warm and friendly and I have felt welcomed each and every time I come in!
